About the Artists
HAWFA Collective brings together the work of nine Haitian women artists, celebrating the richness, resilience, and evolving expressions of Haitian heritage through a wide range of styles and media. Together, the group’s work explores identity, memory, culture, storytelling, and transformation—moving across painting, mixed media, sculpture, metalwork, and textile-informed practices. Featured artists include Annick Duvivier Ligondé, Claudia Apaid, Dominga Leroy, Dominique Ambroise, Hélène Boisson, Myrtho Celestin, Rachelle Scott, Sophia Lacroix, and Valerie Lambert.
