About the Artist
Alice Raymond is a French artist (born near Paris) whose transdisciplinary practice explores geography, migration, ecology, and language through site-responsive “mapping” processes. She studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Université des Arts Visuels in Bordeaux, completed a Master’s in Language Sciences in Grenoble, and holds a DNSEP (ENSBA Lyon) and the Agrégation d’Arts Plastiques.
Her work has been presented internationally across Europe, Africa, and North America, including MoCA North Miami, the San José Institute of Contemporary Art (California), the Nubuke Foundation (Ghana), and FRAC-MÉCA (France), as well as fairs such as 1.54 London and Scope Miami. An AIRIE artist-in-residence in Everglades National Park, Raymond has continued this research in South America and West Africa, collaborating with Indigenous and local communities to translate environmental observation and climatic data into textile and sculptural forms.
