Maria Patiño is a Colombian-Amrican mixed media artist based in Miami, FL. Her work explores memory, identity, and cultural preservation through layered visual narratives. She experiments with materials such as aerosol, acrylic, ink, oil sticks, collage, and hand-stitching on raw canvas. Her process embraces imperfection, layering, and physicality to evoke emotion and depth. Born in El Cairo Valle, Colombia, and now completing her MFA in Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design, Maria creates work that bridges personal history and collective memory through color, texture, and form.
