About the Artist

Hector L. Figallo is a multidisciplinary artist whose geometric abstractions explore the interplay of light, movement, color, and form. Working with acrylic, ink, wax, and mixed media, he creates optical rhythms and perceptual shifts—using pattern, illusion, and color relationships to spark both emotional and intellectual response. His work draws on cultural and environmental influences, including urban landscapes and personal reflection, resulting in a distinctive visual language. Signature bodies of work include The Madrid Series, inspired by the energy of Spain’s capital; The Cooper Series, which pairs copper leaf and patinas with organic forms; and The Optical Series, which uses transformative patterns to challenge visual certainty. In December 2024, Figallo exhibited at Art Miami/Context, marking a key milestone in his evolving practice.
