Ignacio Font

Ignacio “Iggy” Font is a Miami-based artist whose practice has evolved from early explorations of family and intimate struggle toward a focused investigation of painting’s structural foundations, seeing, and meditative experience. Iggy’s work asks how images begin—how visual elements are organized, how space is inhabited, and how those relationships become form.

Working across painting, installation, and photography, Iggy builds an active dialogue between mediums: photographic studies inform abstract paintings, and two-dimensional inquiries expand into immersive installations that examine perception, space, and contemplation. He holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and is a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship recipient.

Iggy is also Director of the Olga M. and Carlos A. Saladrigas Art Gallery at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. Alongside his studio practice, he contributes to Miami’s cultural ecosystem as an educator, curator, and arts organizer. He co-founded collaboARTive to support affordable studio space and exhibition opportunities, and co-owns Font Squared LLC, providing marketing support for artists and nonprofits.
