Charlie Calderin

Charlie Calderin is a Miami-based designer and artist with more than 30 years of experience turning smart ideas into memorable visuals. He is the President of Doink, Inc., a creative design studio known for bringing a sense of fun to serious design challenges. His work spans logos and branding systems, publications, packaging, menus, event graphics, signage, and advertising—always grounded in clarity, craft, and strong ideas.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in Graphic Design, Calderin proudly carries the influence of his Cuban heritage and Jesuit education from Belen Jesuit into his work and leadership.

Beyond client projects, his creativity extends into a hands-on studio practice that includes illustration, photography, and toy design—spaces where experimentation and play are just as important as precision. Over the years, he has collaborated with national and international brands such as Universal Studios, Sony, Toy2R, Burger King, and MINI USA, while also supporting a wide range of South Florida businesses.

Whether designing for global brands or creating simply for the joy of making, Calderin’s work is marked by sharp execution, thoughtful storytelling, and a distinct personality that never takes itself too seriously.
