Encore!
February 1 to March 7, 2026
Encore! is the audience’s call for more—the second act inspired by 2025’s Rehearsal for an Exhibition. Running February 1–March 7, 2026 at 1310 Gallery at Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts, the exhibition opens February 1, 2026 by appointment, with an opening reception on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Developed by Mirta Gómez del Valle and co-curated with Melisa Caprio and collaboARTive founders Jean and Ignacio Font, Encore! reunites 20 of the original 27 artists from last year’s exhibition and invites the community back into the experience—where collaboration leads, and the work keeps evolving.
Bridging counties, genres, and generations, the show highlights South Florida’s rich cultural fabric through work spanning painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, performance, and installation. Rooted in accessibility and artist-led experimentation, Encore! continues collaboARTive’s commitment to expanding how (and where) art is shared—beyond the traditional gallery system and closer to the community.

About 1310 Gallery at Artspace Sailboat Bend Lofts
The 1310 Gallery at the Artspace Sailboat Bend Loftsis an art community in downtown Fort Lauderdale that was created by Art Space (artspace.org). Artspace’s mission is to create, foster, and preserve affordable space for artists and arts organizations. This 37-unit loft space houses both visual and performing artists. Sailboat Bend Artists Community has been open since April 2008.
The community’s various disciplined professional, mid-career and emerging talent includes painters, photographers, writers, poets, sculptors, dancers, musicians, actors, and graphic designers.
The artists come together with various local artists, nonprofits, and art groups to create art exhibits, film screenings, workshops, and more in their three-floor gallery space as well as the Fort Lauderdale Historic Commission building next door. These events are always free to the public. A new exhibit on the last Friday of the month. Many of our Curators feature multiple events. Learn more at sailboatbendartists.com.
