ABOUT THE ARTISTS

MISS LUSHY | NOVEMBER 6 AND 13, 2023
Miami native, Miss Lushy, blends vibrance of color with a passion for music to create paintings and exclusive portraits rendered with a touch of her soul. Growing up influenced by Hip Hop culture, she was fascinated by Miami’s urban art scene. Her exposure to and appreciation for graffiti and street art inspired her to pick up a spray can and broaden her practice from canvas to large-scale murals.

Miss Lushy graduated from Miami International University of Art & Design with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. Lushy merged her passions for graffiti, street art, and graphic design to pursue a career as a visual artist & muralist. She creates daily and has participated in large-scale visual arts projects including a recent commission to paint a mural of Celia Cruz in the heart of Little Havana, Calle Ocho.

In the past few years, Lushy has had the privilege of working collaboratively with the cities of Allapattah, Doral, and Little Havana to enrich these Miami neighborhoods through her art. Miss Lushy is known for creative youth and community engagement through non-profit organizations like Hope Murals, The Motivational Edge, and PATH: Preserving, Archiving & Teaching Hiphop, Inc.

LOUIEDEOLOGY | NOVEMBER 20 AND 27, 2023
South Florida artist, Louie Diamondz, aka Louiedeology, embarked on his artistic journey after studying visual effects and motion graphics. His distinct Hip Hop aesthetic is influenced by decades of experience as a Bboy, poet, archivist, and DJ. He draws inspiration from Bboy culture, as well as his personal collection of vinyl, figurines, cassettes, trains, vintage electronics, and more.

At the core of his artistry lies his original concept of "Molecular Constellations," which weaves a continuous line through his body of work. Each piece blends simplicity and complexity in geometric and organic compositions. This concept emerged from his studies in astronomy, metaphysics, archaeology, and other disciplines, emphasizing interconnectedness and the relationship between individual parts and the whole.

Louie's creative influences include graffiti pioneers Rammellzee, Dondi, Doze Green, and fashion designer, Emelio Pucci. Honoring the secrets of sacred societies, Louie's work pays homage to the Dogon, Mayan, Aztec, Hopi, and Incan civilizations. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Miami, Denver, and Los Angeles.
